I have always loved helping others, and that came naturally in the form of helping others learn. As a former educator, I dedicated 16 years to education, 11 years teaching, and 5 as an instructional coach for adults. As an instructional coach, I spent a lot of my time observing and analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of instructors so that I could and design and develop training for those needs. I would consistently coach individuals and deliver training for groups of 30-40 adult learners. These experiences began my path and interest in Instructional Design.

I enrolled in the Applied Instructional Design Academy to support me in my knowledge gaps and skills around adult learning theories and authoring tools. I truly believe in being a life-long learner and have used the academy along with webinars, training sessions, conferences, and other learning avenues to continually grow my skills and abilities. This past year, I worked as an instructional designer in contract and volunteer roles developing e-Learning experiences for a variety of adult learners.

When I am not wrapped up in all things ID, you can find me enjoying time with my family, walking and biking outdoors, or planning my next trip to the Happiest Place on Earth-Disneyland.
